Challenge

A robust wayfinding strategy that unites internal and external elements across Battersea Power Station’s masterplanning and public realm.

Solution

The Battersea Power Station redevelopment project required a strong and unifying masterplanning wayfinding strategy. In our response, we created a core set of typographic and product based principles that were applied to all wayfinding components and public realm spaces, knitting the whole site together. We also created a typographic grid from the proportions of the power station façade, while exploring the theme of ​‘fusion’ to reflect the two halves of the main station structure.
